A Fulton County police officer fatally shot a man Monday night after he killed a boy with an ax and then tried to attack the officer, police said.
A spokesman for the police department said the officer responded to a call of a child hurt at the Chastain apartments on 4558 Roswell Road in Sandy Springs about 8:30 p.m.
There, he found a 9-year-old boy lying on the street outside with an ax “embedded in his face,” said the spokesman, Cpl. Gary Syblis.
The suspect, a 22-year-old man, was still at the scene at the time. When the officer tried to talk to him, he ran across Roswell Road to another apartment complex, the Chateau Villa apartments, Syblis said.
The officer followed. The suspect threw a tire at the officer from the second or third floor stairway of an apartment, Syblis said.
The tire struck the officer, breaking his arm, Syblis added.
The man then tried to come after him with a stick with a metal handle, prompting the officer to fire three times and hit the man, police said.
Both the officer and the suspect were taken to a local hospital, where the suspect died from his wounds.
Police did not want to divulge a motive for the death of the child, but said the suspect was not related to the boy nor did he know him.
The investigation continues, and the officer was placed on routine administrative leave.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s Office said early Tuesday morning that it could not release the name of either the boy or the suspect as their next of kin had not been notified.
Both the apartment complexes are home to mostly Hispanic residents, many of whom tried to make sense Monday night of why a man would so brutally kill a child.
In the absence of indisputable facts, rumors and hearsay spread among residents. The boy had said something to anger the man, some speculated. The boy was playing with friends, and the man just charged at him, others reported having heard.
“It’s just an ugly scene and we’re still sorting through all of it,” Syblis said.Resistance to tyrants is obedience to God

Child killed with ax; suspect killed by police
By Harry R. Weber
The Associated Press
ATLANTA — A man was fatally shot by police after a 9-year-old boy was killed with an ax in a bizarre attack as other children played nearby, authorities said Tuesday.
Police said the man they killed, Santos Cabrera, 22, of Sandy Springs, has a criminal record, though they were unsure if he was the same person who killed the boy.
‘‘It was something that was very strange,’’ said Cpl. Gary Syblis, a Fulton County police spokesman.
The boy, Jordan Paulder, was playing with two other children outside an apartment complex when a car pulled up around 8:20 p.m. Monday.
According to a police report, the boy called out to the people in the car to say that something was wrong with one of the vehicle’s wheels. One of the occupants of the car then made an obscene gesture, the report says.
When the boy tried to tell the people in the car he was just trying to help them out, a man got out of the car and struck him in the face with an ax, the report says. The boy’s playmates ran off to call for help.
When police arrived, an officer approached a man who was acting suspiciously. But the man ran across the street to an apartment complex, Syblis said.
The man threw a tire at the officer, fracturing the officer’s arm, Syblis said. The man then came at the officer, swinging a piece of metal.
That’s when the officer opened fire, shooting the suspect three times, Syblis said.
The man died at a hospital. Because of the nature of his injury, the boy was taken to the hospital with the ax still protruding from his face, according to police. He died about an hour later, according to the police report, which identified the boy.
Syblis, in several phone conversations with The Associated Press, indicated that the man killed by police was the same man who killed the boy. But Lt. Dexter White, another police spokesman, said authorities were unsure and they were still investigating.

Who is in control?
We need to send a folder filled with articles of crimes committed by these savages to the uncaring jackass in White House and tell him the blood of these innocent Americans is on your hands.

Actually
That is a very good idea. There is a web site (I can't remember the name) that has people listed that have been killed by illegals. I will try and find it.

considering the tough stance of the Governor of Georgia against illegals, when the dust settles from this, there shouldn't be one left in the state of Georgia. IMHO, the President and the Senate have enticed these people to come here illegally and they are accessories after the fact in murder and I hope the Georgia State Attorney General files a suit ASAP --"Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it" George Santayana "Deo Vindice"

Be prepared folks, for very much of the same senseless, discusting criminal behavior. Our government has given these people the green light.
For some of them - Anything goes. Forget the senate. This story should be sent to every member of the house 10,000 times.
The word criminal is too good of a word to use for this kind of this scum.
This may sound racist but I think that this kid was attacked simply because he was white. Some of these loony Mexicans hate white people with a passion.
Since I can't say what I would really like to, I'll just shut up and vent my anger. But the next Mexican that flips me a bird>>>>>>>>>>>>>><div align="center">"IF it absolutely, positively has to be destroyed overnight-Dial 1-800-USMC"</div>
