Man pleads guilty in ID theft

A 37-year-old man who used a stolen Social Security number to obtain $787,000 in loans and attempted to buy a $33,000 truck is facing more than two years in prison after pleading guilty Thursday in Maricopa County Superior Court.

Adan Betanicio Guerrero, 37, is believed to have been living in Mesa illegally and was indicted in June when police say he used another person's Social Security number to buy the truck.

Guerrero initially used the Social Security number to help him get a job, according to Mesa police reports. A local credit union noticed that it had a customer with the same Social Security number and that Guerrero was likely using the number unlawfully.

Police later learned Guerrero had used the number to purchase two other vehicles since 2001, and a credit report showed he had taken more than $787,000 in loans under the victim's Social Security number.

Documents found inside Guerrero's home revealed he had used the number to obtain employment, authorities said.

Guerrero reportedly told police "they should be arresting real criminals and not a good family man" at the time of his arrest, according to the County Attorney's Office.

He pleaded guilty to one count of taking the identity of another, a Class 4 felony, and one count of fraudulent schemes and artifices, also a Class 4 felony.

Guerrero faces a minimum of 2.5 years in prison and is set to be sentenced Feb. 11.

This is the crap that LaRaza and other open borders groups and politicians have been peddling to illegal aliens who because of this, believe there is nothing wrong with ruining an innocent American's life. This is so far beyond unbelievable I wonder if we really are in the Twilight Zone. Watch the ACLU and other organizations come to his defense by suing everyone and their brother claiming racial profiling. I sent an email to LULAC months ago about stories as this and was told "they are only doing this to feed their families". He actually defended this saying it isn't as if they are using a stolen social security number for anything else but to feed their families and Americans are at fault too because they receive additional social security benefits from this and never report them. I told him they don't receive extra payments and in fact those payments are deposited in an earnings suspense file currently amounting to 500 billion dollars with many Americans also billed by the IRS for taxes accumulated by illegal aliens using Americans social security numbers to illegally work.
Wait for the next shamnesty bill which will attempt to legalize identity theft as the first in the series tried to (SB-2611 Comprehensive Immigration Amnesty....Not Reform) supported by Obama.
