Man shot in Juarez transported to El Paso

A 21-year-old man was taken to an El Paso hospital early Monday after he suffered gun shots wounds in Juarez, El Paso Fire Department dispatch said.
Emergency Medical Services were called out to the Bridge of the Americas at about 3:45 a.m. The man had been transported by ambulance to the port of entry and then to Thomason Hospital.

Officials said he was in critical condition.

It was not immediately known whether the man was an American citizen nor was it known if the incident was related to the warring drug cartels.
