The streets of Fallbrook used to be viewed as quiet and safe. After a brutal attempted murder on Saturday night, May 21, residents may be forced to revise their opinion. The incident, categorized by the Sheriff’s Department as gang-related and an example of the current racial tension between Hispanics and Blacks in the community, is said to have involved 21 attackers who left a 19-year-old Black male severely beaten with eight stab wounds from as many as five different knives. “No arrests have been made in this case yet, but when they are, the charges will be attempted murder,â€? said Sheriff’s Sgt. Rich Hendrickson. “In the last month, there have been a lot of things happening in Fallbrook that people need to take notice of and be aware of.â€? Incidences include altercations, rumors and threats between various factions. The incident occurred at approximately 10:05 p.m. outside the Circle K Market at 1005 East Mission Road in Fallbrook. The 19-year-old victim pulled up outside the store in a vehicle with two male companions â€â€

They caught and arrested two of the suspects. I hate to say it but I live around the area were this happened. Used to be a nice peaceful place that rarely had any serious crime. But the illegals are rapidly taking it over, and we are getting infested with gangs and crime now. Many people don't even want to go downtown at night anymore because of all the problems, and many are moving away.

Arrests made in racial stabbing incident

The Sheriff’s Department has reported that two arrests were made May 25th in connection with the gang-related racial incident that occurred May 21st where a 19-year old Black man was beaten and stabbed eight times outside a local convenience store.

Arrested were Carlos Lupercio, 20, and Fernando Ovalle, 19, both of Fallbrook.

Only 19 more to go . . .

I'm wondering if the number of suspects involved could slightly be exaggerated. Sixteen people out of 2 cars seems like a high estimate. Besides who is going to count heads in the middle of a brawl. Still it was a vicious and ugly attack, and even if there were fewer attackers it doesn't change that.
