E-Verify should be made to be manditory for employers in their hiring of all persons. Anywhere E-Verify can be used it should be and those found to be illegal need to be turned over to ICE or BP for arrest and deportation. We need to start to clean out the country of illegals and it needs to be done NOW.

"E-Verify requires high-speed Internet access. A lot of rural communities, where small businesses are the backbone of the local economy, don’t have it. What are they to do?
"

Baloney! This is from the gove site: http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/ ... 2ca60aRCRD

E-Verify is an Internet-based system, so you will need a computer with Internet access to use it.

E-Verify also requires the use of a Web browser. It has been tested and verified to work with the following Web browsers.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5 or higher
    Mozilla Firefox 1.0 or higher
Netscape 4.79 or higher (with the exception of Netscape 7.0)
As an E-Verify participant, you will need to print various forms, notices, and publications, so you will also need access to a printer. These documents are available in E-Verify as Portable Document Format (PDF) files. If you do not have a program installed on your computer that enables you to view PDF files, you can download the free Adobe Acrobat Reader software.

E-Verify and related resources are in compliance with the Section 508 Amendment to the Rehabilitation Act of 1973.

It may be painfully slow using dialup but I bet it works. I wonder how this 9 employee (I looked it up) wood working business does it's business without highspeed access. Placement of orders? Tracking shipments? Receiving bids? He can go to the library to use Highspeed access if really required. Like what 5 times a year for his big company. Give me a break.

You can always get satellite access for $60 a month. I know because a friend builds log homes, lives in a very rural area, and uses it. He uses dialup for email and satellite for big files. If a company can not afford $60 they should not be in business. Wait - I pay $40 for my highspeed service so it would only be another $20, in effect.
