MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) -

A federal human trafficking ring was busted in Florida and two arrests from that probe are coming out of Marshall County.

42-year-old Humberto Erazo-Medrano and 33-year-old Ricardo Castaneda, both of Albertville, have been charged with promoting prostitution.

Albertville police say the two arrested are part of a bigger ring who were all arrested last Thursday.

A relative of one of the men says the two men had only been living at the home for just a few weeks.

Albertville police say they joined federal agents in conducting a search warrant at the two men's home on Hackberry Street last week.

It was determined both men were in the country illegally.

Police say items such as condoms, lubricants, and lingerie were located in multiple areas inside the home.

They also discovered nearly $2,300 in cash and all of the items were seized.

Albertville police say a third person at the residence was taken into protective custody.

“The domestic violence coalition was involved in it because there was one female at the residence that was taken to the domestic violence coalition,” says Albertville Police Chief Doug Pollard.

Both men are now in the Marshall County Jail under a $100,000 bond.
