BP Agents Arrest 10 Illegal Aliens and Convicted Sex Offender

Tucson, Az. – Border Patrol agents assigned to the Tucson Border Patrol Station arrested 11 illegal aliens yesterday, including an individual from Mexico who had been convicted of sexual assault in Illinois.

Antonio Velasquez-Tochimani, 25, was apprehended at 8 p.m. Wednesday night, among a group of 10 others near Sasabe, Ariz. Tochimani had been arrested and charged with several counts of aggravated criminal sexual assault with a weapon, as well as two home invasion charges. Velasquez was convicted in June of 1999 in Kane County, Illinois and sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Upon his release from prison earlier this year, Velasquez-Tochimani was formally removed from the United States. Due to Velasquez-Tochimani’s criminal conviction, he will be prosecuted criminally for re-entry of an aggravated felon.
