Police check out the scene after an SUV crashed into a Jack In The Box restaurant Thursday evening.

An Aloha man faces a multitude of charges after crashing his 1997 Ford sports utility vehicle into a Jack In The Box restaurant Thursday evening and injuring a customer who was inside.

According to Sgt. David Thompson of the Washington County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Domitilo Chavez-Gallardo from Aloha crashed into the fast-food restaurant near Southwest Cedar Hills Boulevard and Jenkins Road, injuring himself as well as a woman customer.

Thompson said that the incident began about 5:35 p.m. when a motorist reported that a man in the Ford SUV had threatened him after pulling up next to his car. The man was then able to point out the SUV to a deputy who followed the suspect vehicle.

The deputy attempted to get the vehicle to pull over, but it then sped away. The deputy followed but broke off the pursuit when he decided the suspect was driving too erratically.

Then, from a distance, he saw the SUV crash into the front of the Jack In The Box, breaking windows and knocking down parts of the ceiling.

The deputy saw Chavez-Gallardo trying to get away through the rear of the store. The deputy gave chase, but soon decided he would not be able to get through the debris before Chavez-Gallardo could escape, so he used his Taser to subdue the suspect.

The woman customer in the restaurant suffered leg injuries but while he wasn't sure of their exact nature, Thompson said he didn't think they were as serious as first believed. Chavez-Gallardo suffered minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital for treatment. He will be taken to the Washington County Jail when discharged from the hospital.

Among the charges he faces are third-degree assault, driving under the influence, felony hit-and-run, and driving while his license was suspended.

Still more wonderful third world values pouring into this country...As I continually ask how many here think this so called government has it in for us?????
There is no freedom without the law. Remember our veterans whose sacrifices allow us to live in freedom.
