Wednesday, March 19.
May 1 march by Mexicans in Chicago is discarted.
Pedroza declared in interview that the decision of a group of activists to march again does not reflect the feelings of the community.
Chicago.- Common Leaders assured that the majority of Mexican immigrants of this city rejects the execution of a massive march the next May 1 in demand of immigration reform.
"The people consider that there aren't any conditions for immigration legislation, for which to pressure with a march will only bring the increment of raids and deportations", affirmed the president of the Chamber of Commerce of The Villita, Salvador Pedroza.
Also the counselor of the Institute of the Mexicans Abroad (IME), said in interview that the decision of a group of activists to march again does not reflect the feelings of the community.
"The leaders cannot feel the same things that the undocumneted, because they already documents and even citizenship.
They do not know that is the fear of a possible separation of their family by immigration agents", he added.
In the meantime, Cuauhtémoc Morfin, common leader of the mexican neighborhood Pilsen and counselor of the IME, expressed that the marches already fullfiled their objective and another march runs the risk of becoming a failure.
"The first march showed that we are united, the second was prompted by the aggresive operation in The Villita two weeks before, but the third one could be counterproductive", he added.
The activist assured that the inhabitants of Pilsen have said that they do not want another march, "they believe that alone will bring more injustice against them, because the authorities do not like that type of protests in the street".
With respect to the assembly of the March 10 Movement, the international boycott against the business Kimberly Clark, both leaders said that if its not well organized, itwould also result in a failure.
"A boycott requires an extensive structure to organize and above all economic resources which we don't have", notified Pedroza.
The opinion of the two common representatives, the best form to continue pushing for immigration reform is through a common plan, formed by several strategies to be develop in different fronts.
As an example, Morfin mentioned to continue informing the community of their rights; to enlarge the number of immigrants that become citizens and voters; as well as to know and to pressure their federal and state representatives.

Illegal community is too scared to march. We got the momentum people!!!
All those state laws that passed in AZ, OK, MS, GA, have taken a toll on the illegal alien pshyce. The illegal alien community is definetly playing defense and they don't want to stick their heads up.
Its up to us, to put immigration in the fore front.

There is not going to be a march because of one thing and one thing only: Enforcement.
All of this spin we'll be hearing from these so called activists and rights groups is nothing more than an attempt to save face and further convey the message that our sovereignty, our laws, etc. mean nothing to them.
The fact that this march has been cancelled though is HUGE and speaks volumes.
I wonder what's going to be cancelled next?Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

May 1 march
If any of these mass marches take place, I encourage all Americans to take a camera and take lots of pictures. I can guarantee the protesters will not like it. They may even threaten us, but as Americans we have a right to photograph any public event.
Better still, watch where they park their cars and take photos of the License plates. If they are innocent, why would they be offended?

If these marches do take place, I expect ICE to take part as well. I suspect if that were to happen, we would never have to worry about theseillegal invaders, taking to the streets, and making demands they are not entitled to.

Omg, they're finally wising up! Who would've thunk.
What was not mentioned was the organizers simply CANNOT CONTROL THE ILLEGALS. They know the illegals will whip out their Mexican flags and Che Guevarra T-shirts.
Or maybe they're really afraid now of really PISSING ICE OFF.PRESS 1 FOR ENGLISH. PRESS 2 FOR DEPORTATION.

cowboy song
I'm back in the shadows again, again
Out where a friend is a friend
Where the sleazy coyote feeds
On the lowly mescal weeds
I'm back in the shadows again.
Ridin the range once more
In a room with twenty more
Where you dare not go to sleep
Or your wallet they will keep
Back in the shadows again
Yippeee ti yi yay
Don't get in the way
Back in the shadows again
Yippeee ti yi yo
Sellin' more blow
Back in the shadows again.
