Authorities of the Salvadorian consulate in southern Mexico calculate that 17% of their countrymen that cross that country in route towards the United States they have been victims of robberies.

The past Wednesday another group of migrant Salvadorians was a victims of robbery and one of them turned out to be injured by a gunfire , in the surrounding area of the migratory cottage El Hueyate, in Huixtla, Chiapas, Mexico, when they tried to avoid police, reported authorities.

The vice-consul of El Salvador in Chiapas, Vilma Mendoza, brought to light that according to a sample taken by that office, 17% of the undocumented Salvadorians that cross Chiapas, denounced to have been victims of robbery and and assualt.
