DENVER -- Colorado Gov. Bill Ritter has ordered a review of immigration enforcement after suspected illegal immigrants were involved in two crashes, one that killed three people.

Ritter on Friday told the state Department of Public Safety to examine gaps in local, state and federal enforcement and look for solutions. He says the federal government has failed to fix a broken system.

Two women and a 3-year-old boy were killed in a horrific crash at an ice cream shop in the Denver suburb of Aurora last week. A Guatemala native suspected of being in the country illegally was arrested on vehicular homicide and other charges.

This week, a 19-year-old who was deported five months ago was arrested after a stolen car struck a police cruiser and a tree in Aurora.
