So, we can together, republicans and democrats, work out this issue, provide a path to citizenship, on the principle that they do not take any priority over anyone who came to this country legally, or waited legally. And, of course they should pay a fine, because they acted illegally

How in the hell can they be considered "law abiding citizens" if they acted "illegally!"

If I hear McCain refer to illegal invaders as "God's children" even one more time..I think I will lose my breakfast!

Tell you what McCain. You and your wife can pay and pray for "God's children" if you love them so much. But don't expect the American people to swallow this garbage just because you personally will say or do anything to get elected, including, but not limited to pandering to mexico and its people.

The USA is in an economic crisis that the Bush administration first refused to acknowledge and once it did things only got worse which kind of makes me wish someone hadn't told them about it. Americans are losing their jobs left and right and more jobs are being outsourced. Yet we import millions of IA who dry up OUR social services and we hand out visas like they were pieces of candy at halloween time. And this guy wants to make millions of these law breakers legal? WHo is going to pay for their paper work, their lawyers, the background searches? Or is it just going to be a free for all? Get in line and get your citizenship??? This is madness. Don't we have a backlog miles long for green cards? Why then are we going to let millions get in line when it is obvious we do not have the man power to process those applications?

I do find it funny how ever how these IA hate the gringo yet it's the gringo fighting to make them legal. Some blacks blame whitey and yet it's whitey who freed them. They fought for civil rights but it was whitey who made it happened. Am I "white" nope I am not. I'm just tired of everyone seeing the gringo or whitey as the enemy is all.

They are not citizens. They are not law abiding. They steal social security numbers, have multiple aliases, take tax payer dollars through fraud, and these are "law abiding citizens?"

They fought for civil rights but it was whitey who made it happened. Am I "white" nope I am not. I'm just tired of everyone seeing the gringo or whitey as the enemy is all.

As a "whitey" I know my entire life I have been drilled to give, back-up, move over, "understand their plight", scoot over, share, blend, and anything else you can think of to accomodate for the "differences" and make-up for the wrongs of the past (of which I had no part in, nor my family). My family is not wealthy nor were we ever, and life has not been easy simply because I'm white, if anything it's been harder because since I am white, it SHOULD be better. It was also drilled in me to do my part because someone was always worse off than me. I've had the American pride drilled in me, the Christian values drilled in me and to see this hatred given in return shocks me. It's certainly not directed where it needs to be or at the correct people, no matter what their color is.

Well said CB! I feel the same way and refuse to be made a scapegoat for past wrongs, simpy because I happen to share the same skin color as some of those who may have participated in the wrongs of this countries past.

I have nothing to apologize or be sorry for as a white male in this country...

But, our heritage, the heritage of this country, is people who have come to this country for a better life, and as I said at the Convention, these are God’s children and it will be done in a humane and compassionate fashion.

McCain makes me sick everytime I hear him open his mouth. All humans are "God's children". That doesnt mean they can break laws and come into America illegally. Enforcement through attrition is humane. Show illegal aliens the "pathway" home.

I think Juan Hernandez told McCain that American citizens don't watch Univision. How stupid does he think we are?

They are taking priority by BEING HERE! They need to go back to their home countries and WAIT for admission. Citizenship is NOT the issue, they don't care about citizenship fool! They want US to continue to subsidize them! NO MAS!!!

Honestly, there is NO fool like an old fool and McCain is THE biggest fool of all if he believes this crap! I can BET he would never say this on English speaking TV. Nevertheless, there are those of us who OPPOSE amnesty and do watch Spanish TV for things like this.
