TX- Perry for President Gains Credence

Texas Governor Rick Perry’s flirtation with seeking the Republican presidential nomination had people talking in Austin even before key figures in his past campaigns quit working today for Newt Gingrich.

Dave Carney, a Perry adviser, and Rob Johnson, who ran the governor’s 2010 re-election campaign, both abandoned Gingrich’s presidential bid. That drew more attention to the possibility that the longest-serving U.S. governor could make a run for the nation’s top office
    .

Johnson’s resignation as Gingrich’s campaign manager and Carney’s departure as a political adviser will prompt more talk of Perry’s entering the 2012 race, said Jeff Crosby, an Austin political consultant. Johnson managed Perry’s victories last year over Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison in the Republican primary and former Houston Mayor Bill White in the general election.

“People in Austin close to Perry are saying that he’s being drawn into this because the Republican field is so weak,â€

'RINO Rick' Perry To Run? A Warning To Conservatives

    by Dave Levine)
Posted by The Dave Levine Show on May 17, 2011 at 5:00pm

The one truth in the above story is the fact that there IS a void--a Conservative void--in the list of Republican candidates (all of them RINOs) for next year.

But the rest of the piece is bunk. Perry was never a Tea Party favorite! He feigned pushing for secession to get Conservatives behind him. He's an Establishment Republican who is no different on illegal immigration than former President GW Bush was! He's a RINO. His one saving grace is the fact that he's brought businesses to Texas. But is that reason enough to elect him to President? But these businesses hire illegal aliens who send their American dollars back to Mexico before they hire Americans, if at all. Is that worthy of a Presidential candidate?

One major thing these writers Erik McPike and Scott Conroy for Real Clear Politics fail to grasp or mention is the fact that Governor Perry was the person behind the failed TTC--The NAFTA Superhighway--which has now morphed into the equally dangerous I-35 Corridor and I-69 Corridor plans, a plan opposed by Texans. Both the old TTC and the current Corridor plans have the Spanish company CINTRA behind them as the TTC did and likely both have legal representation from Rudy Giuliani's law firm. Billions of dollars would flow into Giuliani's firm if this goes thru and many millions into Perry's war chest. Massive toll roads and private highways for cheap, slave labor-made Chinese "goods" running from the Gulf of Baja up thru The Narco State and into the heart of America--with the Cartel running the show in Mexico and along our Southern flank. You can bet that if he becomes President, those Corridor plans will move forward, quickly. They'll carve up Texas and the nation. They'll give Mexico a port at Kansas City. Gov. Perry is a CFR member, a globalist, a One Worlder.

Conservative voters need to ask themselves: Do we want another GW Bush, another RINO, another faux conservative to run against Soetoro-Obama? Haven't Conservatives learned from their past mistakes? GW Bush pissed away 6 years under total Republican rule.

I advise Conservatives not to be fooled by Perry's pushing for a "Sanctuary Bill" which has passed and which he will sign. It is NOT a 1070 bill and it doesn't mean he's tough on illegal aliens and lawbreaking businesses in Texas! Gov. Perry is against a 1070 bill for Texas and that I'm afraid is why none have come forth. Joe Straus is still "the problem" in the Republican-dominated Texas Legislature but really, Gov. Perry and Straus are the problem.

If Governor Perry runs, expect a huge blowback from Conservatives all across the country. Expect a damaged candidate if he wins the nomination and expect a fight within the Conservative movement between those who know we can't afford to have another GW Bush in office and those who just want Soetoro-Obama out of office no matter what.

We law and order Conservatives against Gov. Perry and all other RINOs will likely be blamed for his defeat if he's nominated. To us, voting for "the lesser of two evils" doesn't work. Many of us were fooled into voting for GW Bush in 2000 to keep Gore from becoming President. That 2000 Election brought us two wars that continue, unbelievable Federal Government spending and increased debt, the Invasion from Mexico increased tenfold and three recessions, the current one being the worst. We aren't going to make that mistake again!

    Are Conservatives listening?

My thanks to WND for posting this.

This is noting but our talking heads in the media making something out of nothing. Rick Perry has not said anything to anyone here in Texas other than on night on Fox when he said he thought about. He even made it clear that it was just a thought. Nothing more. Yet the media keeps pushing. Perry and the Bilderberg know Perry doesn't have s snow ball's chance in hell getting elected. Had the Democrats had a qualified candidate here in Texas at the last election he might not have even been elected governor another time. Since then the Texas budget is in a total mess, school funding is being cut to the bone, teachers are losing jobs, police and fireman are losing jobs. He has done nothing to pass any meaningful bills to help our problems. Not to mention The Texas Ethics Commission just fined Gov. Rick Perry $1500 for not reporting rental income on a home in College Station. Can we say a lack of ethics?
