Some Maryland residents without proper social security numbers received public benefits, such as food stamps and temporary cash assistance, a new adudit has found.


WASHINGTON (Map, News) - About 52,000 people who received public benefits like food stamps and temporary cash assistance in Maryland last year didn’t have valid Social Security numbers, a state audit has found.

The state’s own Office of Legislative Audits found a “number of deficienciesâ€

So 52,000 are getting food stamps and/or aid with bogus SSN's, which I would say are likely 99% illegal aliens. I also wonder how many IAs with stolen or successfully fraudlent SSN's are also getting aid???

Simply disgusting. So this is how my hard earned tax dollars are spent....

Sounds like fraud, waste and abuse of taxpayer funds.... who ever ok'd this needs to go to jail

Every single state should be doing these audits of every single agency and contractor that is doling out public benefits and services based on a social security number. Use the E-verify on every application and see just how much fraud is rampant. State legislators will not be able to hide those numbers and the equally high displeasure of their constituents. Let's get all states to conduct these kinds of audits.....perhaps the State Legislators for Legal Immigration can start this initiative.

I like the fact that someone actually spoke up about it. Hopefully it will get some national attention. Kudos to those people who had the courage to dig into this. There are a lot of ways to battle the illegal migrant situation without even mentioning it. This is a good example of that.

The things to do is cut off those bennies and call ICE asap.
