Phoenix, AZ May 8- Two young men are in big trouble after pretending to be cops and asking for proof of citizenship. An Arizona State University student and his buddy thought it would be a funny prank and pretend to be cops and ask students for proof of their citizenship. But what they didn't realize was they were committing a crime.

A-S-U police say the two young men were very drunk early and thought it would be fun to first pretend to be census workers and ask people for I-d, but they crossed the line when they began telling students they were undercover police officers.

They then approached random students, saying they were enforcing SB-1070, and asked for proof of citizenship. But the prank was over when two students were not amused, and called the real police. They arrested 20-year-old Ryan Alarie and 23-year-old Alexander Devito, who was an A-S-U student which has now been kicked off campus.
