Dobbs 12/16/08 World Leaders Meet: U.S.A. Locked Out
Television
* Tonight, Latin American and Caribbean leaders are
gathering in Brazil for a region-wide summit that excludes the
United States. This latest snub comes at a time when Latin
American countries are becoming more belligerent towards the
United States and are strengthening their ties to Russia &
China. We will have a full report on the seemingly growing
anti-American sentiment in our own backyard.
*Plus, A U.S. kidnapping consultant, Felix Batista,
appears to be the latest victim of cartel violence in Mexico.
Batista, a hostage negotiator and an expert on abductions in
Latin America, was seized by armed men in northern Mexico this
week according to his employer. We will have this story and we
will continue to report on the surge of violence along our
southern border with Mexico.
