    Illegal alien sentenced in Maine
    March 4, 2009

    BANGOR, Maine—A 23-year-old Mexican man has been sentenced in a Maine courtroom to 4 months in prison for illegally re-entering the U.S. after being deported.

    Mario Sanchez-Rodriguez was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Bangor.

    According to court records, Sanchez-Rodriguez was arrested in Washington County in December for domestic violence assault.

    During the investigation, police learned that he had been deported from Texas in October 2007 and had re-entered the country illegally.
