AUGUSTA (AP) -- Maine State Police have completed two days of their three-day crackdown on truckers. But already there have been plenty of violations, and several arrests.

Troopers say that out of 479 trucks stopped during the "Roadcheck 2007" enforcement effort there have been 61 vehicles and 78 drivers removed from service. There also were 82 logbook violations and 46 false logs.

Maine Public Safety spokesman Steve McCausland says there were six arrests on immigration issues, and there were three drug charges.

He says eleven drivers had suspended licenses, and 13 were disqualified from driving commercial rigs.
