The extension I'm talking about is the one Trump created that enables his administration to continue considering DACA renewals until March 5th. When the program was ended, it should have ended then and there ...... no more applications and no more renewals. No one but you mentioned anything about rounding them up for immediate deportation or making them a priority over anyone other illegal. That was just your attempt at confusing the issue.
There was no such extension. Any renewal that wasn't submitted by October 5th, 2017, 11 days ago, will be rejected. In fact there was an attempt by members of Congress and illegal alien advocates to demand an extension to the October 5th renewal deadline and the request was summarily rejected by DHS. All new applications were ended on September 5th, 2017, 41 days ago, the same date of the rescission order.

In order to create confusion, you're just playing word games now. Everyone knows what the purpose of the six month extension was for and everyone knows they are no longer accepting applications or renewals. However, they are still considering the renewal request they have already received. The ending date on that is March 5, 2018. That and the fact that no renewals will begin expiring until after that date is the six month extension. You're more than welcome to call it something else if you like, but to me it is an extension of the program. We've been going over this stuff for over a month now, so please don't pretend to know more than anyone else around here on the subject.

When I mentioned the continuation of considering DACA renewals I assumed you knew what I was talking about. They will continuing reviewing and approving the renewal request they have already received until March 5th.

If your work permit expires between September 5 and March 5, you could apply for your renewal by October 5th, 2017, you don't have until March 5th to renew nor will USCIS be considering you for renewal until March 5th. You had to renew by October 5, 2017 and all renewals filed by October 5th will be processed and either approved or rejected within 120 days or by January 22, 2018 according to USCIS website.

USCIS has also stopped all "advanced parole" related to DACA, according to the website.

Either I haven't been clear or your comprehension skills are weak. You haven't told me a single thing I don't know. Nobody has said you have until March 5th to renew. However, they will continue screening and approving renewal request they already have in house up until that date. Turnaround on submitted renewals doesn't happen over night, hence the March 5th date.

According to the USCIS website, all renewals will be processed within 120 days from October 5th, "hence" that's January, not March. And since there were so few renewals, I would expect them to be processed post haste in a couple of months and this set of personnel reassigned to useful, lawful and appropriate tasks.

    • If you are a current DACA recipient and your still-valid Employment Authorization Document (EAD) has been lost, stolen or destroyed, you may request a replacement EAD by filing a new Form I-765 at any time, if the EAD is still valid...
