I thought I should post this form letter response I received from Senator Clinton.
Hope you find it interesting.

Dear Mr. xxxxxxx:

Thank you for sharing with me your thoughts and concerns regarding Governor Spitzer's proposal to issue driver's licenses to undocumented workers. I appreciate hearing from my New York constituents on this critical matter.

I agree with Governor Spitzer's decision to withdraw his proposal. I believe that his difficult job is made that much harder by the failure of Congress and the White House to pass comprehensive immigration reform. I do not support driver ' s licenses for the undocumented and I continue to believe that comprehensive immigration reform is needed in order to deal with all of the issues surrounding illegal immigration, including securing our border and fixing our broken system.

The thoughts and concerns of my constituents are very important to me and I thank you for taking the time to write. For updates on this and the many important issues being considered by the United States Senate, please check my website at http://clinton.senate.gov .

Sincerely,

Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton

This is how I replied:

Senator Clinton,

As a 52 year old registered Independent voter I feel I must tell you that should you continue to support 'Comprehensive Immigration Reform,' I cannot vote for you. I suggest (as in previous correspondence) that the current laws be 'totally' enforced. Should the Republican candidate for President run on such a platform it will be the first time in my life I vote for a Republican for President.

Does the Democratic Party not realize that the same 70% of voters who are against giving driver licenses to Illegal Immigrants are also against any 'Path to citizenship'?

Sincerely,
