Mexican ADL formed in Dallas, attended by Calderon.

DALLAS— A group of Mexican immigrants in the United States announced yesterday that it is working for the formation of a national organization dedicated to fight the new wave of racial discrimination that faces their communities in this country.

The formation of the American Mexican Anti Discrimination Alliance (AMADA) was brought to light in the framework of the eleventh ordinary session of the Institute of Mexicans Abroad (IME in Spanish), that initiated the eve in this texan city.

The director of the Mexican Community Center in Dallas , Jacobo Kupersztoch, explained that the new organization is promoted by a committee of 27 members, among whom are counselors and former counselors of the IME.

Kupersztoch explained that AMADA arises from the need to counteract the growing wave of hatred and intolerance against the Mexican communities that has arisen in this land under the argument of illegal immigration.

'Small but powerful groups of hatred have decided to ignore that this country was created and has grown to be become a leader in the world, thanks to immigration and to the immigrants', he said.

'We need to raise our voice to stop the language of hatred and intolerance towards the undocumented, indicated Kupersztoch, upon indicating that the new organization will seek to counteract the anti-immigrant rhetoric promoted by some in the mass media."

AMADA is similar in objectives to other organizations created in this country to counteract the racial hatred towards diverse ethnic groups, like the Arab-American Antidiscrimination Committee.

In the IME meeting, the eve was inaugurated by the Mexican president Felipe Calderon during a stop in Dallas, more than 100 members of the agency analyze strategies to improve the quality of life of the Mexican communities in this country. The meeting concludes today.

Dr. Jacobo Kupersztoch is the Director of the Adani Gallery in Dallas TX, which specializes in Latin American and contemporary art. And is teaching Cultural Sensitivity for Health Professionals at The Centro Comunitario Mexicano -Dallas Forth Worth.

El Centro Comunitario Mexicano is a non-profit organization that will implement and coordinate programs for social development that facilitates the integration of the immigrant while also reaffirming his/her identity as a Mexican.

Mexico City native Jacobo Kupersztoch, a retired Dallas microbiologist and a former member of the IME council, said the meeting with Mr. Calderón was productive and included Mexico's ambassador Arturo Sarukhan.

"The meeting was positive with a big desire to do something for the migrants," Mr. Kupersztoch said.

I met Arturo Sarukhan two years ago and at the time he was the Consul in New Yprk. He told the gathered mostly Mexican audience
at an event that well within ten years any Mexican will be able to work anywhere in the United States they want.
I support enforcement and see its lack as bad for the 3rd World as well. Remittances are now mostly spent on consumption not production assets. Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

...the cultural sensitivity training should be directed at the Mexican "migrants" living here...to learn how to live according to our standards and norms, be good neighbors, comply with our laws, respect our traditions, norms and language. That sure would go a long way.....

but we can all dream big can't we? This is nothing more than another "front" group for the Mexican government to keep their nationals here by any means including promises to defend their "imaginary" rights and spin their image....unfortunately they can't control the level of crime and other anti-social behavior of their populace and so the stories and reports will continue whether they like it or not.
