plans school forum

A representative from the Mexican Consulate will be on hand from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lakeaires Elementary School in White Bear Lake to answer questions about citizenship, home buying, medical insurance and other issues for people in the Hispanic community.

The school is at 3963 Van Dyke St.

About 9 percent of Lakeaires' students are Hispanic, and the numbers are rising in the district as a whole, according to a district spokeswoman. The meeting is open to the community.
