Edgar Velasquez slashed his face with a chain saw in March 2006 while working for a Warwick tree-company.
A lawyer for the owner of the company, William Gorman Jr., reached the settlement with lawyers for Velasquez in January.
But on Wednesday, Gorman told a worker's compensation judge that he had never heard of the agreement and asked that his lawyer be dismissed.
Gorman's lawyer, Michael St. Pierre, told the judge that he had informed Gorman of the agreement in three detailed letters that spelled out the terms.
The judge has granted Gorman until June 27 to find a new lawyer. Meanwhile, Velasquez's attorneys have filed a motion to hold Gorman in contempt.

Hmmmmm......well, let's see. Obviously someone is lying but that's really not the issue here. In fact, I would say that this is not really an issue of illegal alien/immigration for that matter.
This is simply yet another employer who had an employee hurt on the job and is trying to worm out of their obligation to that employee. It wouldn't make one bit of difference, one way or another, if this was an American citizen instead of an IA.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This is why these employers hire illegals. They don't have any responsibilities and no costs. Slave labor.
