PHOENIX (AP) - A Mexican man has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison for sexual abusing two juveniles on the Gila River reservation near Phoenix.

Prosecutors say 46-year-old Luis Herrera-Armendariz was sentenced in U.S. District Court in Phoenix.

He also was ordered to register as a sex offender after his prison term and will then be on lifetime probation.

Prosecutors say Herrera-Armendariz was living in Chandler at the time of the April 18 incidents.

They say he pleaded guilty to engaging in separate sexual contact with two minors under the age of 12.

Authorities didn't immediately provide information Thursday on the gender of the victims.
