"The other companies who worked downtown with us realized that we, Hispanics, work fast and better," Cruz said proudly.
I've heard that from a number of Hispanics. Its usually, "We do the job better than Americans." Where they get that BS, I don't know. It is definitely not true. They don't work smarter, harder, better or faster than Americans.
Besides taking jobs Americans would do and being paid less and with fewer benefits, these people and the people who use them throw all the labor benefits we have worked so hard for in the trash. Labor laws mean nothing to them. This is the employer's dream come true.

Colorado State Child Labor Laws:
EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS FOR 16 AND 17-YEAR-OLDS
Employment of 16 and 17-year old minors is permitted in any assignment, except those listed as "Hazardous Occupations" below. In addition, 16 and 17-year olds are prohibited from working more than 8 HOURS A DAY and 40 HOURS A WEEK.
PROOF OF AGE
Hiring personnel are encouraged to request verification of age when employing minors. Certificates are available from the local schools, but driver's license or other formal documentation may be acceptable.
VIOLATIONS
Both the FLSA and Colorado law provide for possible civil and criminal penalties, including FINES and JAIL time, for willful violation of any of these provisions.

So not only do they get the job, the money, and to be here to collect all the "freebies" but in the end they also benefit from when it's found out they are here illegally and then they are treated like poor, innocent victims. It's disgusting!

Having been to many resorts and some of the so called nicest hotels. Ritz Carlton for example, many times after hours and most of these places have many illegals doing this kind of work. It's a very dirty little secret! And yet it goes on...............................

Perhaps this needs to be sent out to the CO Attorney General, the DNC, the RNC and to Tom Tancredo.
