Thread: Mexican Nationals Enslaved Young Girls for Sex Trafficking in Texas

Seven Mexican nationals were convicted in Texas of forcing illegal immigrant females, both adults and minors, to engage in prostitution in Houston-area bars. The Mexican nationals admitted to enticing young girls and women from Mexico to be smuggled into Texas illegally across the porous border and then using physical threats and force to make the females sell their bodies to Houston-area men.

Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas reveal a gruesome story that illuminates the realities of an open border and how it results in the exploitation of women and young girls. According to the indictment of Gerardo Salazar aka “El Gallo,” he and his associates had a transnational ring that enticed Mexican women and young girls to come into the U.S. illegally with hopes of work and a better life. Once here, the women and young girls were subject to beatings and were forced to have sex with men and return proceeds to the Mexican nationals.

The indictments against the group began in 2005, but “El Gallo” then fled to Mexico to avoid U.S. justice. Mexican authorities finally extradited the man recently and he was convicted this week.

The press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office revealed substantially less than the actual court records, as is often the case in such matters. They wrote:

The leader of a sex trafficking ring who was indicted 10 years ago and later extradited from Mexico has pleaded guilty to four counts of harboring illegal aliens for the purpose of prostitution, announced U.S. Attorney Kenneth Magidson. Gerardo Salazar aka El Gallo entered a plea of guilty today, admitting to his role in smuggling minor girls and young women from Mexico into the United States and using deception, threats of harm, physical force and psychological coercion to compel their service as prostitutes in Houston area bars.

El Gallo, 51, of Mexico City, Mexico, was indicted in 2005 along with Mexican nationals Salvador Fernando Molina Garcia, Angel Moreno Salazar, Jose Luis Moreno Salazar, Juan Carlos Salazar and Ivan Salazar. El Gallo was the leader of the group and had been a fugitive since 2005. At that time, a warrant was issued for his arrest. He was taken into custody in 2010 and extradited to the United States in June 2014.
