Mexican police: 3 US men arrested for kidnapping

TIJUANA, Mexico — Police say they have arrested a U.S. man and his two sons for allegedly kidnapping the father's girlfriend.

Police say the three men locked the woman – also a U.S. citizen – in a room in their apartment after a night of drinking in Ensenada, a town south of Tijuana.

The police report says the woman contacted police using a computer in the room.

Police say they freed the woman before dawn Tuesday and arrested the three men on suspicion of kidnapping. The police report included their names, but The Associated Press could not confirm their identities with the U.S. Embassy.

The report did not say if the men and the woman lived in Mexico or were visiting.
