    Mexican police end pursuit

Men trying to escape Anaheim police flee to Mexico, but are shot crossing the border.

    By KIMBERLY EDDS
    The Orange County Register
ANAHEIM – Two men trying to escape Anaheim police were shot by Mexican federal officers early Friday morning after a high-speed chase that stretched from Anaheim to the Mexican border.
The chase began just after midnight Friday when an Anaheim police officer tried to pull over a black car near Beach and Ball boulevards, Anaheim police Sgt. Steve Peña said.
The driver sped off and lost the officer. Another officer found the car and chased it onto the southbound San Diego (5) freeway at Brookhurst Street, Peña said.
"We don't know why he ran," Peña said. "He just took off."
While police cars from Anaheim and California Highway patrol raced after the car on the freeway, the two men inside the black car threw things out the windows. A police helicopter watched the chase from above.
Officers tried to end the pursuit by throwing a spike strip onto the freeway in San Clemente, but the strip broke in two, Peña said.
The suspect drove between the two pieces, but an Anaheim cruiser and a CHP patrol car ran over the spikes and flattened their tires.
The black car kept driving south, blowing through the San Ysidro Port of Entry to Mexico.
Mexican federal officers opened fire on the car, hitting both the driver and passenger, Peña said.
Both men are expected to survive. Their names have not been released.
None of the things tossed out of the car during the chase have not been found, Peña said.
The make and model of the suspect's car was not immediately available.

Well. where`s the ACLU and the Pro Illegal activist screaming that it was "unconstitutional" "Racist" and "profiling"?
OH! That`s right, this happened South of the Border so it`s a different story.
The thing is, they keep screaming that there is no Border, can someone figure that out?

hmmmm last time the authorities opened fire on an illegal drug dealer, both ended up in prison per the request of the Mexican government. Another Mexico double standard.

That's because those border patrol agents were seen as traitors to the race. Had that shooting occurred in Messyco and perpetuated by nationals it would not have been publicized at all. We all know that Ramos and Compean are being made examples for the benefit of showing what happens to those who betray LaRaza (the race) in the name of America and American law.

Not dope dealers here. If they can not find the items thrown out the window the charges probable are: Fail to stop for blue light and siren(to elude police), Careless and reckless driving(reckless endangerment), and speeding.Basically only traffic violations.
They got to find other physical evidence before they can charge them with other crimes. heyyyyy where is the Habeas Corpus , the smoking gun ???

I'm simply happy they got shot. We should be doing that on this side of the border.

You miss the point these people were shot by mexican federal officers for traffic offenses. This is much worse than Ramos and Campean who are serving time. What are they going to do to the Mexican officers ?? where is the ACLU ?? Do we have different standards for border violations.

Apparently you have never had a projectile of any type or speed to penatrate your body. If so I don't think you would make such a statement for traffic violations.

They violated Mexicos "Immigration Laws" by crossing the border illegally.
