Published January 19, 2011
A coalition of Latino organizations launched a campaign Wednesday to push for the protection of Social Security, which leaders say is the sole source of income for half of all Hispanic senior citizens.

There plan makes sense to keep SS afloat for the next 50-75 years. The problem is the way they plan to do that is higher taxes on everyone AND especially far greater legal immigration. Long as they keep the working force significantly bigger then the retired force theres money for it. Makes sense.
The falling point though is just Lunacy. Increasing legal immigration would mean every year increasing legal immigration by 10-15% but would require right now we up immigration from the estimated 3 million legal and illegals a year to being 5 million a year to rebalance.
They also leave out that for it to work it needs to only be immigrants of younger working age w/o chain immigration. And counting out immigrants who right now bring mom and dad who are already of retirement age who get grandfathered into the program through loopholes.
Sounding much more like in 50-75 years by their plan we'll have a population of over 1.2 billion people a year... and SS would still collapse in the end.
