Mexican pres. asks consuls to work against anti-migrant feel

Felipe Calderon will protect his homeboys!!!

    http://kvoa.com/Global/story.asp?S=7466049&nav=HMO6

MEXICO CITY (AP) - Mexico's president is telling his country's representatives to the U.S. and Canada that they must work to "neutralize" anti-immigrant attitudes.

President Felipe Calderon instructions come two days after he accused U.S. presidential candidates of "swaggering, macho and anti-Mexican" posturing. He also warned the U.S. Congress not to impose conditions on a billion-dollar-plus anti-drug aid package.

Calderon is asking Mexican consuls in the U.S. to participate in the public debate on immigration. He wants them to appear at public events, talk more to the media and work with nonprofit groups to promote Mexican immigrants' role in supporting the U.S. economy.

    Calderon exposed seven fundamental strategies:

1.- Endorse, by means of "precise arguments" the enormous contributions that Mexicans do to the economy and to the companies of North America.

    2.- Participate in public debates.

3.- Respond to the mass media.

4.- Speak personally with non-governmental organizations.

    5.- Unify the speech.

6.- Defend Mexico and the Mexican Government.

7.- Utilize the studies and evaluations of the American Government to defend the role that the Mexican migrants play.

He has a better chance of turning Mexico into a Utopia then he does passing this tripe off on the American people. It's just going to make people madder at the arrogant entitlement-minded attitude.

the enormous contributions that Mexicans do to the economy and to the companies of North America.
Right, all at the EXPENSE of the American people. WE DON'T CARE about the contributions of illegals to companies or the so-called economy when a person puts in a dollar and takes out THREE!!

If they are so great why doesn't he want them back in Mexico? After all that should help the economy there, the fine upstanding citizens they are. They are not citizens here and we do not want them here, they are illegal here.

Even the Bible says the "sins of the fathers are passed to the children". Ask the childen of prisoners or drug-addicted parents or children born with HIV or addicted to drugs. Apparently illegal aliens should be exempted from this force. While all is unfortunate, it nevertheless is a fact and what is being "passed on" to society by ignoring laws? The sins are being passed to the American people. We are expected to "atone" for those breaking the law. That in itself is immoral.

I can almost guarantee it will make it worse.

    Whatever they're selling, I ain't buying...

I'm sure whatever 'pitch' they will come up with will come across as arrogant and condescending towards Americans.
