And don't think for a minute that this drug cartel "corruption" stops at the border. It's all over our political system.

This is the one that is "telling"..Reconqquista is alive and well with this Senator...

Politician who wants to retake US territory says it was big mistake to invite Donald Trump to Mexico

The Mexican senator tabled the proposal following Mr Trump's visit to Mexico

Armando Rios Piter made the proposal after Mr Trump's visit to Mexico APBy his own admission, Armando Rios Piter knows that his plan to counter Donald Trump’s threat to try and make Mexico pay for a wall, faces a tough challenge.

Yet the Mexican politician says that Mr Trump’s rudeness and arrogance has left him with no alternative but to try and propose something attention-grabbing.

“Our idea was to put out something that was clear and made sense,” he told The Independent, speaking from Mexico City. “The main proposal is that people here and and in the US value what Mexico means, and what our relationship with the US means.”

Bien por la iniciativa de @RiosPiterJaguar en el Senado! El Congreso debe legislar para impedir que México pague por posible muro de Trump!
    10:44 AM - 7 Sep 2016

On Tuesday, Mr Rios Piter put before his colleagues in the Mexican senate, a proposal under which the Mexican government would revoke its treaties with the US - including the 1848 agreement that transferred half its territory to Washington - if Mr Trump is elected and tries to make the US’s southern neighbour pay for a border wall.

“In cases where the property/assets of (our) fellow citizens or companies are affected by a foreign government, as Donald Trump has threatened, the Mexican government should proportionally expropriate assets and properties of foreigners from that country on our territory,” says his proposal.

Mr Rios Piter, a member of the centre-left Party of the Democratic Revolution, launched his proposal after Mr Trump visited Mexico last week and appeared with President Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, to discuss the issue of immigration.

In language that appeared conciliatory in its tone, he raised the issue of a wall, but not who would pay for it. (Mr Pena Nieto later tweeted that he told Mr Trump Mexico would not pay.) The same day, Mr Trump spoke in Phoenix and again vowed that Mexico would pay for the wall.

Mr Rios Piter said he believed the decision to invite Mr Trump was a huge mistake.

“People in my country received his presence here as an insult. He has been insulting us for a year. I think it was a mistake to invite him and to receive him in the way we did, he added. “A lot of people thought this made no sense.”

The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo was signed by the US and Mexico in 1848 to end a two-year war between the two countries, a conflict that Mexico lost. As part of the deal, Mexico handed to the US, what is now New Mexico, California, Arizona, Utah, Nevada and parts of Wyoming and Colorado. In all, Mexico handed over half a million square miles.

Mexico ceded around 500,000 square miles to the US (Wikipedia)

Mr Rios Piter has suggested the treaty could be scrapped if Mr Trump makes it to the White House and tries to force Mexico to pay for a wall along the 2,000-mile border the countries share.

Reports suggest that his proposal stands little chance of success, but does underscore the anger felt towards both Mr Trump and Mr Pena Nieto for extending the invitationn. Mr Rios Piter said he believed the proposal could pass.

“I think there is enough space for a dialogue to generate consensus,” he said.

“I want to push the idea that the relationship with the US is a very important one and we should be focussing about the good things we have done, and not the offensive language Trump has been using.”

Mexico senator proposes taking back land from the US if Donald Trump becomes president

The proposal has been made by a left-wing senator who wants to protect Mexican interests

Mr Trump surprised political observers by accepting an invitation from Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, to discuss the issue of immigration APYou could call it tit-for-tat with a dash of Mexican drama.

Mexico is to consider a proposal to revoke its treaties with the US, including the 1848 agreement that transferred half its territory to Washington if Donald Trump is elected and tries to make the US’s southern neighbour pay for a border wall.

A Mexican senator is due on Tuesday to propose legislation that would empower the government to retaliate of Mr Trump inflicts expropriations or economic losses on his country to make it pay for a wall along the 2,000 mile border.

#Propuesta: Presentaré iniciativa para proteger patrimonio de mexicanos en el exterior. #PRI debería estar a favor.
    6:55 PM - 2 Sep 2016

Reuters said that Armando Rios Piter, an opposition senator for the centre-left Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), hoped his initiative would protect Mexicans, and highlight the risks of targeting them economically.

“In cases where the property/assets of (our) fellow citizens or companies are affected by a foreign government, as Donald Trump has threatened, the Mexican government should proportionally expropriate assets and properties of foreigners from that country on our territory,” says his proposal.

Total remittances to Mexico from abroad – most of which come from the United States – were worth nearly $25bn (£18.6bn) last year, according to the central bank. Bilateral trade between the two nations is worth about half a trillion dollars a year.

People who will flee America if Donald Trump wins

Mr Trump stormed to victory in the Republican primary with strident and frequently offensive comments about migrants from Mexico and other Central American countries. He vowed to build a wall, force Mexico to pay for it, and deport up to 11 million undocumented migrants.

Last week, Trump surprised political observers by accepting an invitation from Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto, to discuss the issue of immigration. In language that appeared conciliatory in its tone, he raised the issue of a wall, but not who would pay for it. (Mr Pena Nieto later tweeted that he told Mr Trump Mexico would not pay.)
The same day, Mr Trump spoke in Phoenix and again vowed that Mexico would pay for the wall, saying: “They don’t know it yet, but they’re going to pay for it.”

Mr Rios Piter said his aim was to counter threats by Mr Trump to target Mexicans in the US and to stress that the economic welfare of both nations is at stake. His initiative also seeks to protect Mexico against unilateral changes to the 1994 North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), which Mr Trump has threatened to ditch.

Mr Rios Piter has suggested the treaty could be scrapped if Mr Trump makes it to the White House.

“At a time like this, it’s vital for us to understand why this relationship benefits both. We’re neighbours, we’re friends, we’re partners,” he said. “He’s putting that at risk.”

No, Mexico put this at risk. Drugs, illegal immigration, crime, violence, welfare and so much more from a failed border, in addition to the trade deficits and stealing our manufacturing companies. We don't blame you for NAFTA effects, our own treasonous leaders did that and we'll fix it with withdrawal or major re-negotiation. But the border issues, that's all on you and your people.

And it's not Trump alone, it's the Americans too who are upset about this and wanted it ended with a wall and other measures.

"The charge that the war with Mexico was a plot to steal land from Mexico was first put forward by Whig politicians in an effort to discredit Democratic President James K. Polk and his administration. Although there is absolutely no proof to substantiate this accusation, some historians have also sought to promote this view simply because Polk had hoped to buy California from Mexico.

While it is true that the United States acquired a large amount of territory from Mexico as one of the terms of the Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo, it is often forgotten that the U.S. paid Mexico $15 million for this land, that the land held less than 1% of Mexico's population, that Mexico exercised very little actual control over it, and that some of its citizens were actually in favor of either British or American rule.

After the war, Mexico's treasury was depleted. There was no money to pay the millions of dollars in debts Mexico had owed private U.S. citizens for decades but Mexico had plenty of mostly unoccupied land. The territory that was acquired from Mexico constituted an indemnity for the cost of a war the United States had not sought and in return for the United States government's agreement to pay Mexico's long unpaid debts to U.S. citizens."

Yes, we bought all the SW Territory and California from Mexico in 3 separate transactions.

We bought the midwest part of our country from North to South from France with the Louisiana Purchase transaction!

Nothing unusual at all about how we acquired the lands from Mexico.

They're just whiners who don't want to honor a deal, they always want to present themselves as some victim. They're beggars really, whiners truly and untrustworthy. Not a good neighbor at all. When you want to threaten not cooperating with the US on counter-terrorism so you can keep running illegal drugs and illegal aliens into the US, then you are no one's friend, you're SCUM.

So we have been paying off Mexico's debts, paying their extortion money, our incompetent politicians have made bad trade deals costing us billions, they continue to disrespect our Country dumping their citizens on us that we pay for, they come here illegally and take our jobs, sending billions in remittances out of OUR country, we put up with their crime, gangs, drugs, murder of our citizens...and all this going on since 1848?

And Mexico wonders why we want the Wall and want them ALL deported? Seriously?

What in the heck has Mexico ever done to fight terrorism, they let them flow through their country to ours along with their drugs and their poor. How are they doing to stop what they have never done, do they think we are idiots?

All the more reason for our Commander-in-Chief to deploy our troops to the border.

Send the tanks, let them do training exercises and let them assist our Border Patrol.

Let them build the Wall, we already pay their paychecks.

Send the message loud and clear you are not going to threaten us, you are not going to dump your drugs, gangs, diseases, terrorists and continue to facilitate your human trafficking ring on the US.
