PHOENIX (AP) - Immigrant activists want the Mexican national soccer team to boycott their Jan. 30 matchup against. Denmark at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.

KTAR-TV reports (Immigration activists ask Mexican soccer team to boycott Arizona game - Phoenix News - KTAR.com) advocates are pressing El Tri to cancel its scheduled friendly with Denmark because of the state's harsh immigration law and racial profiling accusations against Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio.

Advocates are planning a protest march from the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office to the stadium.

Salvador Reza, an organizer for advocacy group TonaTierra, told NBC Latino (Mexican national soccer team under pressure by immigration activists to skip game in Arizona) that the Mexican national team shouldn't come to Arizona and leave millions because of the way the state treats its Latino immigrants.

But the Mexican Soccer Federation says it believes it's important for the Mexican national team to take part in the game in Arizona.
