FALCON DAM INTERNATIONAL BRIDGE -- A Mexican woman living in Georgia is behind bars after she allegedly tried to launder $154,000 dollars.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers told Action 4 News that Teresa Macias-Garza drove up to the Falcon Dam International Bridge in her BMW on Monday morning.
The 42-year-old woman lives in Norcross, Georgia but was traveling into Mexico.
A routine inspection with a K-9 officer revealed that she had $154,000 in cash hidden in the floorboard of her car.
Customs officers seized the currency and transferred Macias-Garza into the custody of U.S. Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents for further investigation
