The Mexican Federal Police rescued at least 45 immigrants from Central America in the Tabasco state, who were on their way to the United States border, reported Monday the Secretariat of Public Security (SSP).

The group was traveling in a trailer when it called the federal officers' attention. Some 38 illegal immigrants from Honduras, four from Guatemala, two from Dominican Republic and one from El Salvador were rescued.

None of them had the required documentation to remain in the country, as the new Mexican law on Immigration establishes.

According to SSP, all of them are in custody of the migratory authorities; and have been medically checked to verify their health.

According to Mexico's National Human Rights Commission, over 11,300 Central Americans were kidnapped in 2010; including the mass murders, after illegal massive graves were found in Tamaulipas and Durango states in 2010.
