Pharmacist hints some members of Congress have Alzheimer’s

A pharmacist who fills all the scrips for members of Congress says he’s given Alzheimer’s drugs to lawmakers — who may be running the country while losing their marbles.

“At first it’s cool, and then you realize, I’m filling some drugs that are for some pretty serious health problems as well. And these are the people that are running the country,” Mike Kim told STAT News, reportedly citing diabetes and Alzheimer’s treatments.

“It makes you kind of sit back and say, ‘Wow, they’re making the highest laws of the land and they might not even remember what happened yesterday.’”

Kim owns Grubb’s Pharmacy, a 150-year-old DC drugstore that delivers as many as 100 prescriptions a day to Capitol Hill, the outlet reports.

But sometimes politicians come in person to pick up their pills.

“I still remember John Kerry — it was literally like the day after he lost [the 2004 presidential election], he came in and he was just standing in line with everybody else,” Kim told STAT.

“I just remember seeing him standing in line and almost feeling sorry for him — one day he’s a superstar, he’s got his entourage and security detail, and the next day he’s just by himself, he’s picking up his prescription.”

That's not the same as age. The Founders designed Representatives to go to serve for two years then return to the private sector. Politics wasn't supposed to be a career. But now we have people, like Bill Clinton, who never had the experience of working a regular job for a living. Totally out of touch with the common citizen.

Look at Hillary. She thinks it is her right.

Some of them have experience that, used correctly, is very beneficial to all of us.

Reagan had Alzheimer's for years. What is your point other than there's a pharmacist in DC who needs to have his license jerked?

Note that the sentence just before that was "We don’t support an age limit for politicians. But thinking about an elderly Congress isn’t a joke, either."

And, of course, they who need it aren't identified!

Hmm, maybe one of them is Maxine Waters and perhaps even Nancy Pelosi.

The opinion of the author on age limits wasn't the point, it was that some congress members are being treated for Alzheimer's.

Of course he couldn't identify them. To do so would mean the loss of his license.

Maybe both, maybe neither. But you don't know because you are not a doctor and you have not examined them.
