MEXICO CITY – Mexican immigration officials plan to issue humanitarian visas on a "limited basis" starting Monday to some of the roughly 2,500 Central American and Caribbean migrants gathered in the southern state of Chiapas.

The National Migration Institute said Sunday it will give priority to women, children and those over the age of 65 "whose situation merits" such visas.

The authority said it would also provide bus transportation back to Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras for citizens of those countries, and air transport home to migrants from Cuba, Haiti and Nicaragua.

The statement comes as President Donald Trump threatens to close U.S. border crossings with Mexico unless the country prevents thousands of Central American migrants from reaching the U.S. border, where they either cross stealthily or request asylum.

They will DUMP their women and children and Senior's on our back to pay for.

    SEND THEM ALL BACK.

They have NO means to work or pay for themselves here! We do not want to pay for one damn thing for these people.

We have our own Senior's who cannot make ends meet or afford their health insurance! We do not want their Senior's and all their medical problems too! We do not have enough facilities for our own Seniors!

SHUT THE WHOLE BORDER DOWN AND TURN THEM AWAY!
