Mexico sends human rights inspectors to border

Mexico prepares for SB 1070, sends human rights inspectors to border

    The Associated Press
    Monday, July 26, 2010 4:37 pm

MEXICO CITY - Mexico's National Human Rights Commission says it will send its inspectors to border crossings to monitor deportations that might result if Arizona's new immigration law goes into effect Thursday.

The law is being challenged by the U.S. federal government in court.

But the commission says inspectors in the border cities of Tijuana, Nogales, Ciudad Juarez and Reynosa will be at the border gates to ensure migrants are treated properly.

Mexico's Interior Department says Interior Secretary Francisco Blake met with U.S. Ambassador Carlos Pascual on Monday, and expressed his support for the U.S. challenge to the law.

Shouldn't they be at Mexico's southern border to monitor how Guatamalan "immigrants" are treated by Mexicans?

Here's an idea...why doesn't the Mexico's National Human Rights Commission monitor those conditions which are causing millions of their citizens to illegally enter this country!

Countries have gone to war over far less than what mexico is subjecting the United States to right now!

They could start off by looking under any of the international bridges in Texas on the Mexican side and asking why so many women and children are there begging for coins that Americans might toss to them.

Ditto that bigtex! There is plenty of work to keep such a commission busy in mexico for the next 100 years without meddling in our affairs where they have no business being! Just another example of the arrogance and bravado exhibited by mexico.

Amazing! They should concentrate on the human rights of their own citizens in their own country.
