GRAND RAPIDS -- The Michigan City (Indiana) News Dispatch reports a man arrested for using a fake ID at the Blue Chip Casino may be a suspected terrorist who lived illegally in Wyoming, Michigan.

Investigators believe he may be wanted in Colombia for "dangerous terrorism." Officials in Washington, D.C. ordered him held until federal agents could take him into custody.

The man identified as Antonio Cruz, 31, was scheduled to be charged for using a false identification Wednesday afternoon.

24 Hour News 8 learned federal officials have taken the case over from local authorities and will take the suspect from the county jail.

The man in custody had multiple IDs when questioned. One identification listed him as Castillo Luis, 45, but a second ID showed he was Antonio Cruz, 31, wanted for terrorism in Colombia.

He told police he was an illegal alien living in Wyoming, Michigan.

24 Hour News 8 tracked down the address Antonio Cruz was said to have been living at in Wyoming. The woman at the house said she knew him.

But when she saw his mug shot from the Indiana jail, she told 24 Hour News 8 that is not the same man she knew. The Antonio Cruz she knew is 52 and now lives in Florida.

Wyoming police said there is a warrant out for the arrest of another Antonio Cruz, one who has the same birthdate as the ID in Indiana. That Cruz is wanted for domestic assault in Wyoming. Plus, that Cruz told Wyoming police he was from Guatemala, not Colombia.
