MIGRANT MARCH II
Dear Friends and Supporters:
We ask you to support this second year endeavor – MIGRANT MARCH II - to educate and mobilize communities throughout the United States in favor of fair immigration reform and demilitarization of the border.
The Mexican American Political Association expresses complete support for the MIGRANT MARCH II, organized by Enrique Morones, and the Border Angels and Gente Unida of California, and calls on all people of conscious to join us in making this year’s march a success.

MIGRANT MARCH II (February 2-17, 2006) San Diego to Brownsville to San Diego
The eve of International Migrants Day Monday December 18th Enrique Morones announced MIGRANT MARCH II as he stood at the wall of OPERATION GATEKEEPER (the wall of shame, the wall of death) on the Mexican side of the border @ Playas de Tijuana, amongst hundreds of supporters.
“MIGRANT MARCH I” was a huge success as a caravan of vehicles crossed the country San Diego to DC and back (February 2-28, 2006) demanding justice for the migrants, no more deaths, asking the communities to take to the street and march against 4437 & support humane and comprehensive immigration reform. In the Spring immediately following MARCHA MIGRANTE I, 5 million people marched !
This coming year MARCHA MIGRANTE II will again start February 2 in San Diego and this time instead of crossing country, they will cross the entire US/MEXICO Border, from San Diego to Brownsville, Texas and back (Feb 2 – 17, 2007) which will culminate with an ALL PEOPLE’S IMMIGRATION HEARING in San Diego on February 17.
The caravan will gather stories along the border journey and share these stories at the February 17th event as well as take these stories directly to Washington DC as “we want humane and comprehensive immigration reform now!, we marched, we voted and now that the Democrats are in control of the house we want action” states Enrique Morones of BORDER ANGELS & GENTE UNIDA the originator of the MARCHA’S MIGRANTE.
MARCHA MIGRANTE II is finalizing plans for this historic trek and welcomes others to join in participation, “this is as grass roots as grass roots gets and its up to the people to say where, when and what we will do during the “MARCH/CARAVAN”.
MARCHA MIGRANTE I, was a huge success and we want to thanks all that supported us, this year has again generated tremendous interest and we are looking forward to visiting communities along the entire 10 state US/MEXICO border, on both sides of the border, join us”. Enrique Morones

Well march on ya' little communists, march on, it only wakes more Americans up to this problem, and makes them angry. Migrant Activists Begin Caravan In San Diego
POSTED: 7:04 pm PST February 2, 2007
UPDATED: 8:25 pm PST February 2, 2007
SAN DIEGO -- A few dozen migrant activists began a two-week trip along the U.S.-Mexico border Friday afternoon, starting at the border fence in San Diego.
The trip is being led by Enrique Morones of San Diego-based Border Angels. About 25 cars arrived late Friday afternoon at a cemetery in the Imperial Valley town of Holtville to begin the drive. The cemetery is home to hundreds of white, unmarked graves of unidentified migrants who died trying to cross the border.
The group is heading to Yuma and Phoenix, Ariz. It will travel to San Antonio, Texas, where it will make a turnaround on Feb. 13. The group plans to make a stop in Los Angeles on its way back to San Diego.
Morones said the purpose of the trip is to collect stories from migrants along the border and to share them with policymakers in Washington.
The caravan's kickoff did not go on without opposition, however.
A group of Minutemen and members of the group Truth Brigades attended the rally to voice opposition to the border caravan.
A Truth Brigades member tried to make a citizen's arrest on a police officer after a friend who came with her was arrested.
San Diego police were determined to keep the opposing sides separated.Support our FIGHT AGAINST illegal immigration & Amnesty by joining our E-mail Alerts at https://eepurl.com/cktGTn

Immigrant rights activists organize march
By: North County Times wire services -
SAN DIEGO - A group of activists gathered in San Ysidro Friday to begin a nearly monthlong series of demonstrations at locations along the U.S. border with Mexico to call for immigration reform.
Organizers of "Migrant March II," led by immigrant rights activist Enrique Morones, say the event is intended to rally support in favor of "fair immigration reform and demilitarization of the border."
"There is not one documented case of a person crossing the U.S. Mexican border that committed a terrorist act, not one," Morones told KFMB-TV. "There's three from Canada. Three different cases. Yet, the National Guard is sent to the Mexican border."
The group plans to drive a caravan of vehicles from San Diego to Brownsville, Texas and back, stopping at border cities along the way. The demonstration will culminate with an "All People's Immigration Hearing" in San Diego on Feb. 17. CNS-02-02-2007 13:37

Why do they think they have a RIGHT to be here? Go through the process, get a green card, and become LEGAL and I can GUARANTEE no one would have a problem with it. It has nothing to do with race, religion, color, creed, or ethnicity, it has to do with LEGAL and ILLEGAL. Perhaps if those who opposed such legislation understood the language of the land, they might comprehend the laws."
Greg in Oceanside wrote on February 03, 2007 11:12 AM:"These marchers are calling for immigration reform alright. They want to be given amnesty so they can have access to more of our tax dollars, through welfare, assistance, WIC, unemployment benefits, healthcare, and the list goes on and on. These marches and "A Day Without An Immigrant" things they are planning are a total waste of time. The American public and US taxpayers are sick and tired of the drain that illegal aliens have put on our quality of life."
go home wrote on February 03, 2007 4:26 PM:" these people are marching for illegal criminals who caused there own deaths by illegally trying to break in to our country, its not our fault they died, its theres. there marching because they have run out of things to do because americans are saying enough is enough, go home. let them march every month, week, day, no one from our country cares what illegal aliean activists do because we the true americans have the final say. i suggest marching south for 40 miles or so until you see the us/ mexico border and continue for a mile until your finally where you belong, mexico."

What has happened is the Gov. has made racists out of a lot of Americans who weren't due to their preferntial treatment of these freeloaders."
Jamez wrote on February 03, 2007 9:37 PM:"Apparently the arguement that there is not one case of smuggling terrorist across the border is not the only issue. That is one important fact of the whole reason to secure the border the rest is obvious. Too many cross freely upsetting the economic balance of the USA. The cost to taxpayers footing the bill from crime , auto theft, auto accidents murders, under cutting wages not paying taxes use of infrastructure and health, medical, welfare, education cost some one! The Taxpayers. The saving to the employeris the one who benefits the exploitation of illegals.
