I thought Cruz's response to the "Door to door" jack boots accusation coming from the socialist media was good.

But I kept waiting for him to say that if we take away the jobs and take away the welfare from illegals and start deporting them when we encounter them for other crimes, many will leave on their own!

He's not going to deport them. He'll just process the ones they encounter or apprehend for crimes, same o, same o and they'll get amnesty in the end.

I thought Cruz did a pretty good job in the interview. The interviewer seemed to want Cruz to say he either agreed or disagreed with Trump on sending law enforcement door to door. Cruz did a great job of avoiding being trapped into making a comment that would give the appearance of supporting the turning of our society into a police state. The point he seem to make was that the illegals will be caught through normal law enforcement procedures. I also liked his comment about taking the jobs away by making E-Verify mandatory nationally. The biggest point he made that I appreciate is that he will faithfully, as President of the United States, faithfully carry out our immigration laws as written. That is definitely something Obama is not doing and none of the other candidates, with the exception of maybe Trump, seem to support.
