Migrant trail walk concludes here
Tucson, Arizona | Published: 06.05.2006

Participants in the third annual migrant trail walk arrived in Tucson Sunday afternoon after traveling 75 miles over seven days from Sasabe, Sonora, on the U.S-Mexican border.
The march commemorates the hundreds who have died in the desert trying to cross by foot.
Participants arrived at Kennedy Park, at West Ajo Way and South Mission Road, and held a closing ceremony in the afternoon that featured participants pretending to die and people mourning.
Several participants throughout the walk carried crosses and signs with names of migrants who died crossing the desert.
