LAS CRUCES — According to the Las Cruces Police Department, a U.S. Border Patrol officer reported his work locker had been burglarized. The Border Patrol agent reported a camoflaugue backpack, a set of night vision goggles, a Global Positioning Device and a pair of binoculars were missing.

He told police he last saw the items on March 28, and reported the items missing on April 6. Last week a Department of Homeland Security officer's vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen. Earlier this year, the Doña Ana County Sheriff's Department had two vehicles broken into and weapons and bulletproof vests stolen. The weapons have since been recovered.
