ICE agent found dead in suburban Dallas apartment after standoff

GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas (AP) - Police suspect suicide in the death of an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent who engaged in an armed standoff with Grand Prairie police.

A police statement issued today says officers were sent to Mark Juvette's apartment after ICE colleagues expressed concern for his welfare. They said Juvette had called in sick, then hadn't been heard from for a week.

After several attempts to get the federal agent to answer the door, but several gunshots were fired through the door when police tried to enter his apartment with a pass key.

Tactical officers and negotiators were summoned, but a police pole camera found Juvette dead on his living room sofa, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

This is sad. Let's say a few prayers for his family.

Those poor people can only take so much when you (uh-hum, I mean, Boosh) treat them like crap! God Bless. I don't believe in sacrificial Federal employees.

These people deserve to be treated so much better than they are now...

Does anyone else notice how the Federal Government never hesitates in asking it's citizens to offer their lives in a duty role for their country, yet, where are they when it comes to their hour of need ?

Maybe it's time the American Tax Payer starts treating the Federal Government like they treat US. You know... ask them to perform death defying acts of honor and loyalty, then turn our heads when they need help.

What is that old saying... "What's good for the Goose, is good for the Gander..."
