It is this reporter's opinion that it is time to take a look at the plight of a battle-scarred substitute teacher in the Los Angeles barrios.
Her name is Migdia Chinea, a substitute teacher who graduated from UCLA with high honors, is fluent in Spanish, and is a professional screenwriter.
To make ends meet, she began as a substitute teacher for the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD).
After several harrowing experiences, Ms. Chinea now says there is no teaching going on at LAUSD, only confinement – the kind one might find in a penal colony, complete with wardens and bullhorns.
And she says she’s been “confinedâ€Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)

This is nothing new to many of us who have watched this"tempest" for over 25 years. This is a direct result of pandering, teacher's unions, parents who don't give a damn, bi-lingual education, no prayer in school, no discipline in school,ACLU and other pandering liberal groups who swore their way was the best way and now, now we have failed generations of kids. And we wonder why we have to import mathematicians, engineers and can't find qualified teachers who will teach in these barrio/ghettos. Where are these social welfare engineers who continue to lay blame on "lack of money" and "lack of more social freedoms." They are up in Sacramento preparing for more ways to destroy America. It is not only here in California, this cancer is growing and will ultimately be the demise for this great country.

John and Ken said they are trying to get her on their show. What an incredible story of domestic terrorism in LAUSD! This story should be headline news all over the MSM...but instead all we get is the IE sob stories!

LAUSD is corrupt. It is like the old unions of ol' days.
They are power hungry and will go to almost any lengths to dismiss any opposition or truth.
It is REALLY bad. Of course, the MSM doesn't show it. They are just tools of their masters. I am truly starting to believe this.
We keep saying MSM won't do this or that..... but "who" is the MSM. Maybe once we identify that, perhaps we can know WHY stories like this are put under a shoe.

Oh well - I hate to say this cheers me up in a sad way but I was trying to get credentialed to teach in CA (I have advanced math degrees) and found the system was geared to PREVENT qualified people from applying. Then I read that over 50% of LA teachers weren't qualified to teach math and was a little jealous. Now I'm feeling like I dodged a bullet. At least they really liked me at the private high school where I taught - and I didn't worry what would happen to this 120 lb weakling. Just an aside - I don't know how it is in public school, but when I taught biology I said we weren't going to argue about evolution - we were just going to agree that it appeared to be part of God's plan.

Wait wait. Why pay for a good teacher when no child is left behind.

Please, let me set the record straight
I thank George Putnam for writing about my situation as an LAUSD Substitute or Guest teacher by economic necessity -- it is a grueling, thankless, horribly underpaid and ultimately dangerous job. Please note that despite my professional and educational credentials, I was unable to get another safer/better job in this service oriented, minimum wage, no benefits economy. I also have no way of knowing the immigration status of any LAUSD students, since I don't discuss such private matters with students, nor with teachers, or with anyone, nor am I privy to any personal documents. With few exceptions, everyone with whom I've dealt speaks English. Migdia Chinea

Welcome to ALIPAC Truthful.
So sorry to here about your story. I hope their school district is now in the hotseat for their obvious lack of discipline and safety in L.A.Join our efforts to Secure America's Borders and End Illegal Immigration by Joining ALIPAC's E-Mail Alerts network (CLICK HERE)
