In the Jan. 17 Casper Star-Tribune editorial, the editorial board writes: "Though Minuteman leaders say their movement is not racist, almost all of their attention is focused on Mexicans who cross the U.S. border. They show little interest in the millions of illegal aliens from non-Hispanic countries."

While it is true that illegal border crossers also come from Middle Eastern nations with known terrorist ties, could someone there kindly tell us what race "Hispanic" is?

According to the U.S. Census, about 90 percent of illegal immigration comes from Latin America -- with 70 percent from Mexico.

The clear inference here is that if Americans stand up for secure borders, an equal application of American immigration and employment laws -- even for Hispanic illegal aliens -- they must prove they are not "racist."

The Southern Poverty Law Center is a far-left money machine which has run out of nutball and actually racist KKK members to go after and has drawn a bead on any American who has the courage to report illegal immigration activity to the feds -- all the Minutemen have ever done.

Fund-raising must have an issue, you know.

Here in Georgia, we watched quietly for years as the PC police stood guard over the criminal employers and the well-funded open borders/illegal alien lobby until English was an optional language and the victims of geography who made it past our brave border patrol agents marched in the streets of Atlanta screaming for driver's licenses, amnesty, citizenship and "justice," while waving the flag of Mexico.

We now have more than half-a-million illegal aliens here; our low-skilled wages are declining; Americans are being denied jobs because they don't speak Spanish; our schools are overcrowded, bilingual, less efficient; and our hospitals are going broke.

We are not quiet anymore.

Who will monitor the corrupt federal government that has refused to secure American borders in a war on terror? Once upon a time in America, that was the job of responsible journalists and newspapers.

The illegal aliens, their lobbyists and their employers will not be intimidated by an opinion commentary -- assuming someone there finds the courage to write one opposing them.

The last time we checked, no hordes of illegal immigrants were sneaking across the state line into Wyoming. Yet the state is now home to two chapters of Minuteman Civil Defense Corps, one in Casper, the other in Newcastle.

Since armed members of the organization began patrolling the U.S.-Mexico border in 2005, the movement has been controversial. President Bush has decried the group as "vigilantes." Yet new chapters keep forming in states throughout the nation.

The arrival of this overgrown neighborhood watch in Wyoming is disturbing, for multiple reasons. First, landlocked Wyoming isn't exactly a magnet for illegal immigrants. Second, the group keeps some dangerous company.

Philosophical and fundraising conflicts splintered the original Minuteman Project into several groups. Notably, the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps is generally seen as the least radical of the bunch. That fact delivers only limited solace.

Though Minuteman leaders say their movement is not racist, almost all of their attention is focused on Mexicans who cross the U.S. border. They show little interest in the millions of illegals from non-Hispanic countries. And, while the movement may not recruit white supremacists and neo-Nazis, it reportedly doesn't discourage them from joining.

The Southern Poverty Law Center, which tracks hate groups nationally, has linked the Minuteman movement to the infamous Aryan Nations and National Alliance. During the initial border patrol three years ago, two members of the National Alliance admitted they were participating in part to scout for future sniping positions. A leader of a Texas splinter group told Young Republicans that ranchers should be allowed to shoot "diseased Mexicans" crossing the border.

The U.S. Border Patrol correctly asserts that professionals, not zealous civilians, should guard the border. Supervisory Border Patrol Agent Jose Maheda said Minuteman members have accidentally set off sensors, forcing agents to spend valuable time responding to the false alarms.

The Minuteman Project's Web site predicts: "Future generations will inherit a tangle of rancorous, unassimilated, squabbling cultures with no common bond to hold them together, and a certain guarantee of the death of this nation as a harmonious 'melting pot' ...." It predicts "political, economic and social mayhem."

Such assertions resonate with many Americans, who increasingly complain about having to accommodate foreigners. ("Press 1 for English" has become a rallying cry.) Fear of newcomers is understandable, and it has been a near-constant accompaniment to U.S. history. Even so, the United States stands today as a country populated and built by immigrants and their descendants.

Regardless of where you stand on illegal immigration, it's primarily a national, not local, debate. The immediate question for Wyoming is why the Minuteman group is setting up shop so far from any national border.

Minuteman members in Wyoming say they will be on the alert, looking for illegal immigrants in the state. Who will monitor how the Minutemen respond to a nonexistent threat in Wyoming?

These folks against the Minutemen need to come to MY hometown of DALLAS, TX, which for DECADES has simply been TEEMING with ILLEGALS and NO way to REMOVE them! In fact, one RISKS being ASSAULTED verbally, or physically, or even BOTH, for SPEAKING OUT against ILLEGAL immigration! For the past six months now, I have been PUBLICLY protesting for Ramos and Compean. During the first five months, there were OCCASIONAL dirty looks, badmouthing, and cussing evoked by my protests, but they have SUDDENLY SKYROCKETED JUST THIS MONTH, and are NASTIER than EVER! It may be only a MATTER of TIME before I am PHYSICALLY attacked. Mr. Loya FEARS for my safety. So do my Brazilian friend, her Brazilian Catholic priest (BOTH LEGAL residents), my Mexican-turned-American Catholic priest friend, my mother, and LOTS of others!

I was in Atlanta right after the flag flying criminals protested and illegals broke into a meeting at the capital there .

I went to help stop the trucks coming across our border and to help the truckers protest , but they were denied access and told they would be ticketed if they got off 75 in Atlanta . So it was a wasted trip far as protest, but i did get to visit some family and friends there .

I am from there but haven't lived in Atlanta for several decades . it has changed into a crime infested city . When i was young you could take a bus downtown to see movie and take one back at midnight and be safe . Now you aren't safe at midday and it's suicde to go after dark on a bus .

The ' leaders 'of this nation are gragging in every kind of thrid world citizen they can, knowing we don't have water to spare in some places . They say water will soon be what the world fights over ,not oil . China and asia have serious water shortages . We are closing down some nuke power plants because river and lakes are too low to cool them .

Then we keep inviting in every American hating non assimilating person on earth to finish us off . Someare dangerous and some are very dangerous . voo doo Africans burnt down a highrise a few years ago because they thought stoves were bad magic so they built campfires inside the apartments.

Muslims are suing us to keep qiute about anything they do . CAIR is now suing someone for an insulting picture of Osama BinLaden on a billboard advertisement. Yet muslims have billboards advertising islam . Play their ugly music on loud speakers in n-hoods 5 times a day .

How much more will we take ? We need to go to Washington in the millions . How is it that a racist anti-American creep like Farra-con, [ Million Mna March ] , can get millions together and we can't even get more than 75 to help take back our country ? Already some of the uncivilized have started to kill their daughters in this nation, and threaten us in our streets . Put their nasty feet in our public bathrooms and send money to terror groups .
