MORE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SEX OFFENDERS ARRESTED IN TEXAS AMID BORDER CRISIS

MORE ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT SEX OFFENDERS ARRESTED IN TEXAS AMID BORDER CRISIS

HOUSTON, Texas -- U.S. Border Patrol agents in Del Rio, Texas recently apprehended a number of illegal immigrants, two of whom were previously-deported convicted sex offenders from Central America.

A U.S. Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) spokeswoman from the Del Rio Sector told Breitbart Texas that the apprehension of convicted sex offenders in the area has increased significantly since last year.

"This year we've already [already] apprehended 26 sex offenders in the Del Rio Sector," she said.

On August 11, agents apprehended a group of six illegal immigrants. During processing, it was determined that one such migrant from El Salvador was a registered sex offender in the United States. According to CPB, 59-year-old Marcelino Argueta-Amaya had previously been arrested twice in the U.S. for sex-related offenses.

In 1987, he was convicted in Los Angeles for molesting a child. He served three years probation for that crime, but was later arrested again--this time in Huntington, California--for indecent exposure.

CPB reported that Argueta-Amaya was ultimately deported back to El Salvador in 2004.

At this time it is unclear when the convicted child molester most recently re-entered the U.S. illegally.

Earlier this month, on August 9, Border Patrol agents arrested 36-year-old Franklin Alexander Rodriguez-Diaz. CPB reported that Rodriguez-Diaz, an illegal immigrant from Honduras, was picked by agents near railroad tracks in Eagle Pass.

As authorities processed Rodriguez-Diaz, they determined that the foreigner was previously convicted of raping a child in Cherokee, Oklahoma. The Honduran national additionally had several other convictions. In 2004, he was deported back to Honduras. Like Argueta-Amaya, it is unclear when Rodriguez-Diaz re-entered the U.S. illegally.

Breitbart Texas has repeatedly presented evidence that the current border crisis--which involves thousands of unaccompanied minors illegally entering the U.S. in the Rio Grande Valley Sector--has made the rest of the Texas-Mexico border more unsecured.

Many have speculated that criminals and cartel members are having a field day since the border is arguably porous. Breitbart Texas Managing Director Brandon Darby recently reported that in one Texas Border Patrol sector, up to 70 percent of Border Patrol agents are currently taking care of the influx of unaccompanied minors from Central America, instead of manning the U.S.-Mexico border.

More proof that deportation without secure borders does not provide safety for Americans! I truly am very disturbed that Americans did not recognize that and/or act upon it in 1986. So very many have suffered tragedy so preventable, caused by inattentive voters. Truth sometimes has to hurt to be recognized as truth, unfortunately true!
