More illegals On AMW! Husband Charged In Wife's Murde

    Husband Charged In Wife's Murder

Cops say Melvin Mejia killed his wife in West Chester, Ohio.

Authorities in West Chester, Ohio, say that Melvin Mejia stabbed and killed his wife, Jackelin Romero, on September 23rd, 2006.

Police discovered Jackelin's body after she was reported missing. Cops did a wellness checkup and found the 24-year-old mother dead in her apartment.

Eyewitnesses told investigators that Mejia came to the apartment on Saturday. Those same witnesses said they heard arguing at around 10 pm. Police say that some time later Mejia killed the mother of his five-year-old daughter. They say she suffered multiple stab wounds and ultimately bled to death.

Cops did a wellness checkup and found the 24-year-old mother dead in her apartment.

    Deportation Overlooked

Melvin Mejia is a Honduran national. Cops say he may have fled south in a 1998 Toyota Camry.

The killing followed several police-documented events, including a June 24th domestic disturbance call that landed Mejia in jail for three days. Jackelin was allegedly injured in the thumb and head during a confrontation with her husband.

Cops charged Mejia with domestic violence and issued a temporary protective order designed to keep Mejia away from Jackelin. Additionally, the court forbade him from carrying any deadly weapons. However, when it was time to appear in court, Jackelin was unwilling to testify against her husband.

Police say that at that point Mejia, who is in the United States illegally, should have been deported to his home country of Honduras. But, they say, Mejia slipped through the cracks and Jackelin paid the ultimate price.

Mejia Is Missing And So Is The Camry...

Investigators believe Mejia fled after killing Jackelin on that Saturday, the 23rd of September. They think he may be headed south and specifically could be in Memphis, Tennessee or Biloxi, Mississippi where he has family. Police say Mejia has previously used the alias Antonio Gil and they fear he may be trying that name again or creating a whole new identity.

Cops believe Mejia hit the road in a Toyota Camry they have not recovered. They say the car is a black, 1998 four-door with five-spoked wheels and plastic covering the sunroof. The car has Ohio plates, DKE-8742.

Child Prodigy Becomes Hit And Run Murder Victim

Child Prodigy Becomes Hit And Run Murder Victim

    Graciano Lopez

    Pedro Rodriguez

Eric Brown was an ambitious 12 year old.

Eric Brown was 12 years old and already showing a great zest for life. He'd already written two comic books, and was working hard on his third. His family says Eric had a passion for writing, and was a straight "A" student. He spoke three languages -- Japanese, Spanish, and English. And not only did he excel academically, but he strived for excellence in everything he did. As a beginning violinist, he wanted to learn as much as he could about the instrument, and yearned to compose music. He planned to spend this summer at a music camp practicing the violin. But Eric never made it there.

On May 28, 2005, Eric was on his way home after a night-time bike ride around the neighborhood, when a gray Nissan pick-up truck came down the 45-mile-per-hour road, swerving erratically. Witnesses in a car traveling behind the truck watched in horror as the truck slammed into Eric on his bike, then took off without even the slightest hesitation. Eric Brown, a little boy with a bright future, was killed.

But later, the owner admitted he was lying -- and that the truck wasn't stolen at all

    Illegal Aliens Wanted For Questioning

Pedro Rodriguez is also wanted for questioning in the hit-and-run.

Cops didn't know who had killed Eric, but they were determined to find out. The next day, investigators got a big break in the investigation when they recovered the truck on a dead-end street just four miles from the hit and run scene.

Originally, the registered truck owner called officals to report the truck stolen. That was on the night of the crash around midnight. But later, the owner admitted he was lying -- and that the truck wasn't stolen at all. He was apparently trying to protect two men he says were using the truck. Cops say the men's names were Graciano Dejesus Lopez, and Pedro Rodriguez and cops say both were illegal aliens with no driver's licenses.

Now cops were getting somewhere. Witnesses to the hit and run had already told cops two men were in the truck that killed Eric. The stories matched.

When cops ran Lopez and Rodriguez's records, they found Lopez had a long criminal record and was in violation of his probation. Warrants for both men's arrests have been issued -- and cops want to track them down for questioning in the hit and run murder of Eric.

This is sickening! "Should have been deported", "slipped through the cracks"?

Where was I when Washington announced that the Federal Govenment had been disbanded ?"

    Wanted for Questioning

    Jose Antonio Alvarez
    Two Brothers, One Murder

Brothers Hugo and Jose Alvarez had a few things in common with their 24-year-old roommate Albino Martinez. All three were illegal Mexican immigrants who worked construction and spoke little English. But on September 19, 2005, their differences were center stage after an argument stemming from a long-standing feud erupted between Hugo and Albino. According to police, Hugo cut Albino's throat, and in a grisly and desperate act, cut off the man's head, arms, and legs. Albino's dismembered torso was found inside the mobile home the three men shared, but his arms, legs, and head were scattered throughout a wooded area behind the home right outside of Charlotte, North Carolina.

    A Gruesome Discovery

When police were called out to the trailer park where the murder took place, they thought they'd be dealing with a natural death case. But when they got inside the house and confronted Hugo Alvarez, they realized just how wrong they were. With the help of a translator, the Mint Hill (N.C.) police officer who responded says that Hugo Alvarez admitted to slitting Albino Martinez's throat, chopping up his body, and scattering the parts throughout a forest. Perhaps realizing that his guilt was evident, police say Hugo held out his arms in surrender and was promptly arrested.

Following Hugo's arrest, police questioned his younger brother Jose about the murder, but couldn't hold him on any charges.

    Wanted for Questioning

Although Mint Hill police don't know Jose's level of involvement in Albino's murder, they want to find and re-question the only witness to this gruesome act. Cops think he's in Atlanta and may be trying to head further south to Louisiana or Mexico.

    Gang Fight Ends Tragically

Cops in Sharonville, OH say their city has been the scene of constant fights between two groups of undocumented immigrants, mainly from El Salvador and Guatemala. But on Aug. 20, 2005 two of them, Juan J. Lopez "Lobo" and his friend Feliciano Vicente, took the conflict to the extreme.

Police say the two groups got in an argument at a local store. Lopez and Vicente's gang was outnumbered by the other one, so they called for help. The other gang left before their friends arrived, but the fight was not over for Lopez and Vicente. Cops say the two headed to an apartment complex together with another eight members of their group to look for their enemies and end the argument in their own way.

Police say Juan Lopez and Feliciano Vicente's group confronted the members of the other gang in the parking lot of the apartment complex. According to police the fight involved as many as 30 undocumented residents, most of them from Guatemala.

Police say in the middle of the fight, Vicente pulled out a 9mm handgun, but when he tried to shoot, the gun didn't work. He gave the weapon to Lopez who then allegedly shot Moises Ortiz Mendosa in the chest. According to police, Mendosa's cousin tried to help him, but was shot in the hand. Moises Ortiz Mendosa died from the gunshot wound while his cousin was treated and released at a hospital.

    Down To One: Lopez

Police say Lopez and Vicente fled to Los Angeles. But, on Sep. 1, 2005 Border Patrol agents arrested Feliciano Vicente in Sierra Blanca, TX, near the Mexican border. Vicente told police that he and his accomplice separated in California.

Police continued searching for Lopez, and on Sep. 8, 2005 the Los Angeles Police department discovered Lopez' car at his mother's house in North Hills, Calif. Lopez' mom was arrested for harboring a fugitive but, unfortunately, they didn't find Juan Lopez.

Police say Lopez left a wife and two children in Ohio, and that on Jan. 6, 2006 the three of them traveled to Los Angeles to visit Juan Lopez' mother. However, investigators believe that they really went to visit Juan Lopez.

Investigators also believe that Juan Lopez traveled to El Salvador, his native country, got a new identity and returned to California. According to police, Juan Lopez may have been involved in a murder in El Salvador before alledgely killing Moises Ortiz Mendosa in the United States and that he may have ties with the MS-13 gang.

You know, I am sorry, I just don't care if these gang members kill each other off as long as they let the innocent victim in the streets alone!

Let them battle each other in their own countries as obviously there is no law enforcement there. In America we should not have to be subjected or victims of gangs that are here illegally. But again it goes back to the issue of our porous borders that let anyone and everyone in including gangs and terrorists. We have our government to thank for that

We had a gang killing this year in town. Apparently a young 16 year old had to prove himself... It happened between a black and hispanic gang.

Years ago a woman was driving in town and her two sons were killed in the back seat by random gun fire. She recently wrote an angry letter to our editor after the police chief said they were solving these crimes. In essence it said 'What about my sons?" Heartbreaking.

They still haven't found the 16 year old... Here is a picture from my town. Lots of subtext to these two clashing cultures in town.
