    Moving illegal prisoners

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Keeping illegal immigrants and terror suspects out of Oklahoma prisons is the goal of a bill that's close to becoming law. First, the bill would prevent the federal government from moving detainees at Guantanamo Bay into any private prison in Oklahoma.

The bill would also transfer over 200 illegal immigrants in state prison for non-violent offenses over to federal custody.

From there the inmates would be deported. That could save the state more than 4 million dollars a year.

"For every illegal alien we incarcerate, it costs Oklahoma taxpayers 20 thousand per year to incarcerate them," said Rep. Randy Terrill.

Only one Oklahoma lawmaker voted against the bill. It now heads to the governors desk to be signed into law.
