Immigation In The East Exposed. ALIPAC Vs. Bankers

    Jan 5, 2006

The impact of the hispanics population in the east, whether legal or illegal, is undeniable.
Hispanics fill one out of three new jobs in the state. In the last five years, they've contributed up to 57 percent of the growth in schools, an area where space is already tight.

That's just some of the information in a new report by the North Carolina Bankers Association.

It's an emotional debate do Hispanic immigrants pull their economic weight?

A new study is weighing in on that debate, Dr's John Casarda and James Johnson found Hispanics pay 756 million dollars a year in state taxes. The study shows that through state taxes the state spends 817 million dollars to support them. That breaks down into a 61 million dollar tax drain. But researchers say that drain is trumped by the spending power of Hispanics. With more than 9 billion dollars pumped into the economy a year. James Johnson says it's directly related to goods and services "When they walk into a store and buy goods and services, and then it in directly effects that, and adds to demand and services grow. It leads to new businesses and new jobs created."

However, critics disagree, " This study made by the banking industry, construction industry, promoted by the Mexican government is a clear attempt to convince North Carolinian's to allow close to half a million illegal immigrants currently in the state to stay."

William Gheene is the president for Americans for Legal Immigration. He believes the report is propaganda that helps construction worker's get cheap labor and drive business to bankers who loan Hispanics money, "The study clearly points out that they are encouraging other business to aid and abed illegal immigrants by doing business with them."

Johnson says "Statistics don't lie. People who compute them do. But in this instance if you look at the data very carefully the state of our economy in the late 1990's, the demand for labor is one driven by construction contractors."

The study shows 76 percent of Hispanics who migrated to North Carolina, came here illegally yet of the 600 thousand who live here now, it's estimated that 55 percent are here legally. Well how can that be? Part of the reason is that their children born here become US citizens automatically.

AMEN!!! AND GO WILLIAM GO!!! This propaganda piece (by the bankers) is feeding us more bull!

Oh! No! Not more anchor babies! And the MSM is finally admitting to at least 600,000 thousand in NC when the numbers 300,000-500,000 thousand have been pushed around for some time.

Having two children in the NC public school system, I and they do not appreciate the overcrowding and increasing lack of resources that are taken away by the children of illegal aliens.

Also, this article when mentioning the "economic benefits" of illegal aliens, failed to mention the massive $$$ they send back to their home countries in remittances. Ditto for the numerous incacerations of their many crimes. Ditto too for their overwhelming usage of local hospital ER rooms and using them as medical clinics while failing to pay their bills.

All in all the illegals in NC suck taxpayers dry as they are doing all throughout the USA, and they should all be deported.

Oh, but Annie, just look at all the diversity they're experencing. (gag!)

The quality of education of our children in NC is definitely on a rapid decline. This is one case where WE DON'T get what WE pay for. Just ask a teacher.

    had_enuf,

Thanks for your comments and I agree that the diversity my children experience in public school is enough to make me gag and makes me very

The quality of education is definitely declining, but it is not the teacher's fault although I've heard of those programs that George bush is promoting to raise the level of education. He is full of SH*T if he thinks focusing on the teachers is the problem. It's not their problem and if I were a school teacher, I'd be sick and tired of the entire illegal immigration mess by now and probably looking for a new field of employment. The teachers are so overburdened. Again, I believe unfairly and how can they possibly keep up with the "diversity" that is happening in the USA. They aren't even paid a decent wage, I don't believe, just to deal with the usual school nonsense.

No, no. I never meant it was the teachers' fault. (I have 3 teachers in my family-used to be 4 but 1 couldn't take it any longer.)Our teachers are doing the very best they possibly can under the circumstances. I only meant that our kids are being dumbed down because teachers have to teach so "no child" will be left behind. Our brightest kids aren't being challenged anymore because of this stupid "no child left behind". I don't know how much schools get from the federal government, but I wish NC would give the money back and teach our kids. Leave all those behind that can't keep up. It's worked that way for years with no problem until the past few years for some strange reason.

No. I never meant to imply that you were critcizing teachers. I am not one nor are there any teachers within my immediate family. I have no affiliates or contacts that are close. It's just what I've observed over the past few years and I've gotten a little more than close with a couple of my younger child's teachers although these contacts didn't survive long term. Close only in the respect that they/I dealt with my daughters diabetes and/or I broached the subject of illegal immigration with a couple of them. I've actually spoken with very few in the teaching profession about the illegal immigration mess because I'm often afraid to bring the subject up. It's hard to gauge the views and opinions of goverment employees - including those in other sectors besides teaching. Many times, I believe they want speak up to but are afraid to even if you bring the subject up first, because they have to deal with their bosses and risk losing their jobs.

I believe that goverment employees in the U.S. are censored or believe they are when speaking up about the illegal immigration invasion. Does anyone else feel the same way?

This is one of the most accurate representation of what I had to say.
