Jail inmate, MS-13 gang expert testify against Newark schoolyard shootings defendant


NEWARK -- An Essex County Jail inmate testified Thursday that Rodolfo Godinez admitted he gave the order to execute four college-bound friends behind a Newark schoolyard nearly three years ago. Just one of the four survived.

The inmate, Will T. Jordan, who is awaiting sentencing on a racketeering conviction, said Godinez told him last June about his role in the Aug. 4, 2007, triple killings. The alleged admission came while the two men were being held in the same unit at the Essex County Jail, Jordan said.
